2 large (14 to 16 ounces each) Texas SpringSweet or Texas
1015 SuperSweet Onions
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
Salt and pepper, to taste
Peel onions. Slice tops and bottoms off onions and cut an X
halfway through
each. Brush onions with Worcestershire sauce. Dot with butter or margarine
and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bundle-wrap each onion in heavy-duty
aluminum foil. Place in hot coals and roast 45 to 60 minutes or cook in a
covered grill over medium, indirect heat for 50 minutes, opening packet during
last 5 minutes. Halve onions and serve.
